Our Mission. The Inclusive Higher Education Certificate Program (IHECP) creates and administers inclusive higher education programming, leading to meaningful employment, for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities through university, business, and community agency partnerships.

IHECP is a Colorado 501(c)3 NonProfit Organization.

The Adventure Begins

Why College?

Students are able to develop career skills including: professionalism, communication and ambition, and have decreased dependence on income supports.

Who is Thinking College?

Students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are leaving high school expecting to go on to college and transition to work and community life.

Program Descriptions

The Inclusive Higher Education Certificate Program (IHECP) provides a fully inclusive, on-campus, college education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities who do not meet university admission requirements as degree-seeking students.

Our Students

“In high school I felt boxed in, and that I couldn’t do anything. Since I have started college, there are more opportunities and I feel like I’ve really grown as a student in the IHECP program.” – Jordan B.
